The Practical Driving Assessment

Your testing officer will give you simple, clear instructions such as:
At the next street, turn right or left
If unsure of an instruction, you may ask for it to be repeated.

Your driving performance will be marked YES, NO or N/A (Not Applicable).

• YES when you do something correctly.
• NO when you do not do something correctly.
• N/A if road or traffic conditions mean you cannot perform the expected behavior.

You will be assessed throughout your drive using the 'performance checks' listed in the following section. You must get a YES for at least 85% of the performance checks on your assessment to get your licence.

If you do something illegal and/or unsafe, the assessment will be discontinued.
